Trainings

 

GPHA offers training courses led by experienced facilitators at discounted prices! We are the Educational Institute (EI) local chapter designee of the American Hotel and Lodging Association, which allows us to offer the Institute's courses to our members at reduced rates. Many of the EI Courses can be taken in a series which will lead to a hospitality certificate or diploma. The EI Seminars can be self-led or led by a member of the GPHA staff. GPHA has a substantial library of videos and DVDs which are available for loan to our members.

 

ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification

In partnership with the Pennsylvania Restaurant Association, GPHA is offering their members the National Restaurant Association's One-Day Servsafe ® Certification program. CPR/First Aid Training Certification

This course will cover infant, child and adult CPR, handling first aid emergencies, bloodborne pathogens training, and rescue choking techniques. Participants who successfully complete the skills performance and written exam will receive a one year course completion card.

 

TIPS Bartending certification

This certification program helps to assure that your front-of-the-house staff is prepared for every situation. It will outline effective responsible alcohol service practices for all front-of-the house staff including bartenders, waiters, hosts, bussers, security and valets that may need to prevent and/or deal with intoxication.
