Student Membership

The Greater Philadelphia Hotel Association student membership offers insight into the hospitality industry. Student members have access to varied information regarding the industry that can be helpful in their academic work and enhance professional development, networking, and volunteer opportunities. Student membership is available to any person actively enrolled, part-time or full-time, in a two- or four- year program pursuing hospitality, lodging, or restaurant management.

Who can be a member?

Membership is available to any person actively enrolled, part-time or full-time, in a two- or four- year degree program specifically related to hospitality, lodging, restaurant management, or special event planning. Student memberships offer insight into the hospitality industry. Students have access to varied information regarding the industry that can be helpful in their academic work.

Buyer's Guide and Website

The Buyers Guide is a comprehensive listing of the GPHA membership. The guide is printed once a year and distributed to all Hotel and Allied members. For even more exposure, ads are also sold in this book. In addition to the Buyer's Guide, Allied members' company name, services and website link will appear on the GPHA Website.

Michael M. Boyle Scholarship

The employment of hotel requirements will be waived for Student members when applying for the Michael M. Boyle Student scholarship.

Resume/Internship/Volunteer

tudent members will receive priority consideration for resumes, and various volunteer opportunities by hotel HR Directors. Resumes may be posted on GPHA's website leading to internship and/or career opportunities with hotels. Get hands-on experience working at GPHA events - volunteer to help at one of

GPHA's many events throughout the year!

Networking Receptions and Events

Student members can meet and talk with general managers, human resource directors, directors of sales and other key staff at many GPHA-sponsored receptions and events held throughout the year. Student members also get discounted prices to attend networking receptions, trade shows and other Association and industry events.

Committee Participation

Student members can join GPHA's student committee, which meets to achieve common goals and to work for increased student participation. If you are interested in joining this committee, please contact Suzanne Geyer, at sue@philadelphiahotelassoc.org
